Meet the Artists
Sethward & Lori are both visual makers with unique styles & mediums. Lori is a fine art artist exploring the expression & experience of human emotion, making work using a photographic process called cyanotypes which creates beautiful blue prints. Sethward is a clown and comedy videomaker, pushing his body to its limits & beyond in his commitment to the joke, & making work that is as colorful & fun as it is utterly absurd.

Lori Elisabeth Lusk
Lori Lusk is Los Angeles born and raised. Her work delves into the universally human experience of feeling feelings, examining the ways in which our feelings give meaning to living. She employs her own body as a vessel for expression in creating photographic objects – cyanotypes, collages, printed fabrics, & mixed medias – that are given deeply intentional titles. Her photographed figure is the gestural conduit for emoting, & the thoughtfully specific titles are the gateway into each work’s emotive intentions. Writing poetry is also integral to her practice in further naming the feelings she explors. She seeks a dialogue between the viewer & the expression – do you feel the feeling that the work is naming? Does it invoke other feelings, named or otherwise? So my work examines how our feelings give meaning to living as humans.

Sethward
Sethward grew up in a small Texas town but now is a staple in the Los Angeles absurdist comedy scene. You’re not going to find a more outrageous style of comedy than what Sethward brings to the screen! He specializes in taking ridiculous character concepts to hilariously deranged places, and committing so hard that the comedy becomes transcendent. “Swede Cinema" meets real-life cartoonery, melding a homemade aesthetic with physical comedy and fearlessly playful creativity. He is the proud owner of the world record- most rejections on TV talent show competitions. His physical art reflects the whimsical nature of his performance, colorful, wild and to some a bit abstract.
